End of the Summer,

Hello everyone, School has started and i am already overwhelmed by the madness.. But before i get into that, i would just like to say that the last week or rather my last weekend before school started was rather fun. I was able to hang out with my friends and just have a good oh jolly time. It was my friends birthday this past weekend, and we did loads.. not really but i had the experience of going to my first club in L.A. It was an 80's club, and we danced the night away. I was pretty suprised that my parents let me go haha but non the less it was awesome. Here are some pictures from this past weekend...





I think i was pretty happy ending my summer with a bang... overall though i think my summer was pretty relaxing.. i had the chance of hanging out with new friends, experiencing the japanese culture, and hanging out with my old buddies..

Unfortunately, school has started this week.. i must say my second year at PCC is crazy. I think that this year, thier is probably twice as many people roaming around the school campus. the parking is madness and ton's of people are trying to add classes. i've gone through most of my classes already and so far they have been ok. I'm just caught up in being lazy and not wanting to do work. The first day of classes, and already the teachers are giving out homework and teaching lessons. its pretty insane... But aside from that, i finally experienced my first 7 AM class yesterday. it was pretty tiring. i mean waking up at 6 in the morning and it's still dark outside. ANd it's a bit chilly out too. My friend warns me that when the time change comes around, it'll be even more dark and a lot more colder.. haha i'm ready for anything! I guess because i'm not use to the early hours of waking up i've already experienced a full day of tiredness.. I hope that this year will be fun. Thier are a lot of familiar faces now that it's my second year. it's quite nice to see them too. haha i feel less of loser but then again i feel like a loser when people in a group see me by myself eating lunch ahah that's just sad. but oh wells i hope to have a better school year.. with all that stress that is comming my way i hope to work hard this year.

The Laugh Factory

Tonight (Thursday), i had the pleasure of going to my first comedy club, The Laugh Factory. This place is considered to be the number one comedy club in America. Thier's one here in HollyWood and one in New York's Times Square. They are currently in the process of opening up one in Long Beach as well. My friend told me about this place and said that there were a lot of famous comedic acts that perform there like Dane Cook.

The experience was really cool. The show started at 10, and since it was college night, students had a discount to get in for 10 dollars. In my opinion, the place is pretty pricey. I think the regular ticket price is probably 18 dollars? not sure and there is a minimum of two drinks per person. A non alcoholic beverage was four dollars, and the other drinks were five. PRICEY INDEED!

So the show was good alot of surprise guests that i didnt expect.
The only celebrity i knew of that is regularly there is Jon Lovitz. And wierdly enough he performed, so that was cool. Belieive it or not, sitting up in the upper balcony was Steve O and Bam Margera.
At first i only saw Steve O because he was going at it with Jon Lovitz, but right after Lovitz performed Steve O was up next to perform. I just have to say that Steve O is one hyper, crazy guy. Maybe the guy was wasted, but he has some serious A.D.D. problems. All he does is laugh histerically, the dude doesnt stand still. He's not a comedic performer so when he was on stage he kept laughing at his own jokes, which just made it more funny cause he looked stupid haha. But yeah i got to see Steve O and Bam Magera from a distance. I wish Johnny Noxville had been there though haha i would've taken a picture with my handy cell phone. I was pretty dissapointed i didnt have a camera on hand though.

The two performers that made me crack up was Jo Koy (on the left), who is a regular for Asian Night, and an upcomming comedic performer, Nick Thum (on the right). They both did a great job. The show normally lasts two hours, but we had an extra performer that was Nick Thum, which ended the show at one. So overall we had six performers. I say it's a cool experience to go and to check out. I would go again if i had the money to haha.

Monster House

I've been waiting to watch this film every since it was released. Finally on sunday, my couin and I got the chance to catch the movie. The outcome of it was worth it. From watching the preview , most people would get the impression that this is a movie for young viewers. In my opinion however, it was pretty dark, with a bit of adult comedy in it. The overall quality of the film was really good. The images of each characters were extremely realistic. The facial expressions of each character was very deletailed indeed. The movie is about three kids that are inspecting this house in which they believe is a Monster House. The adults don't believe thier nonsense, yet, they are detremined to destroy this house so that the madness for all children would end. This movie is definitely going to be a list of DVD's i want. You all should check it out.

Introduction

Hello everyone,
My name is michelle. It's about the last week of my summer vacation, and i've decided that do to my boredom i should start a blog. (and do to the influence of my brother starting a blog not to long ago, haha.) ANYWAYS... i've actually done a blog before, but because that was such a long time ago, i figured it would be cool to start fresh. From past postes i've done in my past blog, if you read my posts they'll probably a bunch of nonesense, rambling. I guess that's the reason for me to start a blog in the first place haha. Well as said earlier, my name is michelle. I am currently attending a community college, and planning to transfer within the next year. I love watching movies, eating desserts, and snacking on POCKY. I actually don't know what else to say about myself, but that's bascially it for now. Hopefully from this blog, you'll be able to see what i'm all about! Let's ROCK!
